Mini-Woolies!

Mini Woolies is a program at Giant Steps Tasmania designed to develop students’ pre-employment skills. This initiative features a simulated retail environment with fully functional, self-service style cash registers and stocked shelves, providing an authentic workplace experience.

Within Mini Woolies, students take on a variety of roles and responsibilities, allowing them to build and practise skills across multiple areas. Through participation, they develop communication abilities, teamwork, problem-solving, and an understanding of workplace expectations.

The program offers a highly engaging and practical opportunity for students to build confidence and readiness for future employment in a supportive, real-world context.
